LimeWire Token (LMWR) is an ERC-20 utility token that sits at the heart of the LimeWire ecosystem.

A total of 1,000,000,000 (1 billion) LMWR have been minted. This total supply has gradually been reduced through LMWR burn programs. As of April 2024, the total supply sits at 773,045,267 LMWR.

The LMWR smart contract has been audited by CERTIK and ranks at spot #70 of all crypto tokens, which puts it among the top 10% of the most secure tokens globally.

Binance Smart Chain (BSC)

In Q1 of 2024, LMWR evolved into a multi-chain token by bridging LMWR from Ethereum to Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and vice versa. This bridge enables LMWR transactions with low gas fees and broadens the token's accessibility to the BNB community, including trading on PancakeSwap.

Circulating Supply

Unlocked tokens do not automatically become circulating supply. Since a large proportion of LMWR is held by the LimeWire Treasury and long-term Venture Capital investors, we do not expect many of the unlocked tokens to become available on the market as circulating supply any time soon. We have estimated the circulating supply for LMWR below:
